Warm and delicious breakfast, it was great value. Location: the hotel was adjacent to centre of Hawkshead, Hawkshead, a lovely large village between Windermere and Coniston lakes and a comfortable pub with good food in a great location.

The queens head has a fantastic location, just a short walk to the village center. The classic double room was cozy, and the food was amazing, especially the beef sunday roast! They even catered well for my son's partner with special dietary needs, which impressed us all.

Cozy vibes and good eats
Spent a night here and loved our spacious room. The location was spot-on for our plans. The bar area had a nice ambiance, and the open fire was super cozy. Dinner was alright, kinda average, and took a bit long to come. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh quality products!

The Classic Double Room was cozy and charming. Super clean and the beds were comfy-definitely got a good night's sleep. Loved the historical vibe of the Grade II listed building. The bathroom felt modern and fresh, a nice surprise. Just wished the shower pressure was a bit stronger. A solid stay despite a couple of minor quirks.

Cozy atmosphere with cute staff. The food quality was great. Service was slow, likely due to understaffing. Not ideal for a quick meal, especially after a walk. Plenty of local beer options available to enjoy after that.
